When I went to my local Advanced Auto (Central Florida) they did not have these particular calipers on their computer (region specific??). The manager attempted the hard sell on the calipers that were present on the screen. I did not even ask him if he could order them for me because if he could, I would have to pay FL sales tax. I was not in a hurry to get these calipers, so I waited to see if the online order process would save me state sales tax. It did.
If you are interested, go to the parts america website:
1. Create an account (easy to do)
2. 'Add to cart' the FRC10627;FRC10628 calipers
3. Populate the 'Coupon Field' with ONLINESAVE15 <(case specific)
4. Proceed through the checkout process.

The order is over $75, so you WILL qualify for free shipping.
By ordering online, (if your not worried about how long it will take to ship, it took 6 days from Phoenix AZ to C. FL. via UPS) you may save on state sales tax. I did, and bought two cans of SeaFoam with that money.
However, you have to go through the checkout process to observe if the website applied the 15% discount and calculated sales tax for your paritcular state. You can always cancel the order if you do not like the final cost.

Take the old calipers back to your local Advanced Auto or PartsAmerica affiliate . They will apply the 'core' credit back to your card via their electronic process. They did not even look at the old calipers when I returned them, they just processed my credits, no questions. Doing it this way will save you the most money. IMHO.

Cliffs:
Save 15% on each caliper.
Qualify for FREE shipping on orders over $75.
Potentially save on State Sales Tax by ordering online.
Return old calipers locally, and get your core credits quickly. (For instance, if you order these from RockAuto.com,(this is what their sales Rep. stated to me when I called them regarding the core returns) you will have to pay for shipping back to their distributor per the instruction that come with the order and wait for the core credit to be applied.)

These calipers have improved the braking on my nose heavy S/C'ed CLS-6. Are they better then a BBK kit by Rotora or Brembo, probably not. However, for the money, I wish I would have done this mod sooner rather than later. YMMV
Peace

Thank you very much for all the info!! One more thing do they frequently have the 15% coupons cause I want to wait till the end of the show season to do this so I can take my time and have the legend calipers powder coated and my be even do some crossed drilled/slotted rotors at the same time.

You may have to monitor the link below to see if they will have the 15% coupon available during the time frame you have in mind.

I just googled 'partsamerica coupons' and sifted through all of the results to find the best one.

I found the coupon here:

this is great because my friend has a wrecked 94 legend he has been trying to part! I can just go in and take all the parts I want for dirt cheap. I double checked but there really isnt a listing of what all items are required. Is it just the calibers by itself? Do I need to take anything else? Thanks

just the calipers- nothing else
Make sure they have 2 pistons in the caliper- not all legend models have what we want.
You can look at the back of the caliper and tell if there are 2 circles cast into it

My goal is to get the following setup at tax time:
Racing Brake slotted rotors for Front, Centric slotted for rears
RB 300 pads for front and OEM for rear
Goodridge SS lines
Legend front calipers and new reman OEM rear calipers
Motul DOT 4 brake fluid exchange

My brakes suck so bad right now I almsot don't want to drive my car. Severe rotor warpage. Will the dual piston calipers help in preventing future roto warpage?

This upgrade wouldn't have any issues if I upgraded my rotors would it?

small snag

I am installing the calipers today. I have the parts removed from the car. I am just not sure which pieces are what. Here's what I think I know.

those come with the large mounting brackets- take the new bolts and end clips off that new bracket and install them on the TL bracket
Do NOT use the legend bracket-it does not fit no matter how much it appears that it will
this is just the cheap way to get new hardware springs at a good price.
just remember that you install the (R) on the (L) side and vica-versa
I am just not sure which piece is which? can some one verify?

A- New Bolts
B- End Clips????
C- Piston things (I know these are going on the car)
D- Mounting Bracket (Un-needed)?
E- Metal thing.
help?!?

So is there a huge difference with this upgrade or is more cosmetic?

I feel a better braking response but nothing amazing.

I'm on legend calipers, SS lines and Brakemotive pads and rotors.

I'm doing the legend caliper swap at the same time as installing SS lines. I'm already on EBC slotted rotors and redstuff pads.
I'll post tomorrow or wednesday after a full day of driving to report how they feel.

Its done for Brake Feedback stock Calipers give Little to No Brake Feedback at all until they Are making the ABS Earn its Money.

It will not give you Shorter Stop Times just Improved Brake Feedback.

that is up to the friction of the tires. (You will notice the most when driving spirited and really heating the brakes, then you will notice the improved pedal and less effort the most)

Wouldn't it still give you better stop times? A more linear and more evenly applied break force to the rotors, means you can get closer to the line between max break force and locking up your tires. That means better breaking, in both feel and stopping distance.

^^ For shorter stop times the brakes should Have:

Bigger ROTORs (More Surface contact and the fact that is extra away from the Hub gives a stronger brake force).

Bigger Calipers = More Surface Area contact from Bigger Brake Pad will always give more Stopping power.

Keyword: ""More Surface Area Contact!""

And that will equally need a good quality tire! You can have 6 Pot Calipers with a MASSIVE ROTOR that if you have an All Year long lasting thread it will brake like shit... Some sport tires will give you better stop times without even upgrading anything just because they don't loose traction sooner making the ABS Work better.

Since the Legend Calipers RE-USE our brake pads there isn't any upgrade in surface contact and the rotor remains the same!
Also the Caliper contact area (Contact to the Brake Pad) isn't bigger in FACT the Legend Caliper has so slightly less contact than the OEM 1 Pot caliper while using 2 pots they just make the power delivery more even trough the brake pad not like the 1 pot that likes to "bend" the brake pad (Thus our notorious Rotor Warping problem).

What you gain is brake feeling or more feedback! Since the pots are smaller they can "Sense" more movement than the gigantic 1 pot so you gain that feedback at the Brake Pedal! thus giving you more control of your braking..
