CAI tube
Anyone know of a site or somewhere that I can purchase JUST an intake tube? I've already called AEM and K&N, as well as a few others. I already have a K&N filter cone, and i'm really not tryin to drop more $ on a new CAI kit. Also, if anyone's tryin to sell/trade theirs, lemme know
you can goto your local car store and they should have them (ie pep boys/salvo's/aotozone) that is pretty generic, but you normally need a car specific tube for the intake.
You can look on ebay and they have full CAI for like 50 or 60 bucks and you could just use the tube off that and use your og filter, just a thought!
Good luck

the filter is a POS im sure, but the tube and hardware looks legit. i'm gonna rig it up tonight, and then throw my K&N on the end of it. i'll update this post with my impression of the product when i look at it after i get home tonight. its supposed to get delivered this afternoon.

ok, so the this kit is good if you want a SRI, which is what i finally went with (for the noise and less hydrolock risk, considering i'm too lazy to buy/inst a bypass
). It's a two part tube, with a rubber coupler. the upper part has a mounting bracket welded on, but you hafta gently bend the forks of it down to make it work and engage the supplied mounting stud. after that, i attached hoses and put my K&N on the end of it, and it works/sounds great!! especially for the $- 39 for the kit shipped, and 40 for the K&N cone at autozone. cant beat that. i mean, it's no AEM or Injen, but for $79, its alotta bang for the buck. it come with all hardware, and the filter it came with is even not too bad. great for a back up!
