Burlwood Shift Knob Help

This may be a dumb question, but can anybody out there who has the burlwood shift knob on their TL let me know how to install it? I ordered it online and I just got it today, but it didn't come with any instructions. I thought you just twist the leather stock knob off to the left, and twist the wood knob on to the right. But I twisted the hell out the stock knob and that thing does not want to let go!

I can try twisting it harder, but I just want to make sure that's the right way to get it off before I break something and then get really pissed off. Can anybody help out??

Yes, just twist it to the left. I just removed mine and that is the way it turns. I had to put on a leather glove in order to get a good enough grip on it to break it loose.

Common problem, been mentioned before, turn to the left, use both hands.

Thanks for the tip Gary. It still put up quite a fight, but the leather gloves worked and I finally got my burlwood knob on there now. MUCH better look for the interior!
