Brakes

Does anyone have a good brake upgrade that will fit under the stock 16" rims and doesnt cost an arm and a leg?

you cant go larger with the stock 16 inch wheel. If you were to get a larger rim you could go with a Big Brake Kit.

Rotora rotors and EBC Green stuff pads and or Hawks work really well. Those are oem size replacements but better quality

I like the Racing Brake brand slotted rotors with Hawk HPS pads for combo of wife driving around town, me driving on freeway and mountains, plus awesome for track days!

I have the 205/16s on my 01TL-
great rotors and pads on the stock rims and street tires are fine and will dislodge any objects in the cabin that are not fully secured !!
Have proven their $$worth when semi truck made the emergency move across 2 lanes and I was able to stop right NOW and avoid the situation
It went something like Oh S*$*! BRAAAKES- whoa- that was impressive! where did this water bottle come from?
Lets watch and see what happens to everyone else!

Acurazine vendor MrHeelToe has them, look at the off topic sponsored sales for post by Excellerate (see above post) and MrHeelToe

go to www.rotora.com
www.racingbrake.com

look at the tech details and decide for yourself
Half the people buying go to Excellerate for parts
The others the Heel Toe
Both reputable reliable sellers on this forum.

In round numbers you are looking at 300+ for fronts and 500something for all 4
Add a set of 4 Stainless brake lines to improve pedal feel for 120?
and you have the rightous stopping set-up.

talking from experience.... I have EBC slotted and dimlped brake rotors and red stuff pads. They look amazing and more importantly they work extremely well. If you want to take these rotors and pads in consideration, then the website is www.autopartswarehouse.com. They will fit 16's front and back.
