best headers?

I know that there are a lot of other threads about this, but i want to know the best headers for cheap. i want performance gains. I heard DC was good and i also heard megan was good. but i heard some problems with both like leaks. And does it matter if its a 6-2-1 or a 6-1? Is there a difference? i have a CAI and my next step after headers is exhaust. any suggestions on the headers and exhaust?

Get the DC headers if you're not getting a 6 speed any time soon.

Is anyone opposed to XS headers? Forums seem to rant and rave about them but I called a representative at Excelerate and he trashed them. Maybe because they dont carry them, but I would like to hear opinions. Also, do you have to change spark plugs when you change your headers?

the old xs-p headers were great imo.

i've been hearing different about the new ones since they seem to be a 2 flex design

XS Headers are no longer being produced. The company is now just reselling cheap eBay headers that are not produced from the XS design.

XS-P headers were originally Comptech imitations, which were great and cheap. Unfortunately, they don't make them any more, and you will be shipped a piece of trash if you try to buy one now.

They come up very rarely in the BM, so you're best bet is to try a different company. DC headers are the best, next to Comptech. Brand new Comptech headers will run you a little more than 1k. Used ones fetch around $500. The DC headers are around $400 new.

So if you don't have a 6 speed, then I'd suggest DC. If you plan on getting a 6 speed, stalk the BM for used Comptech or XS-P. Also, you could get the DC headers modified to fit a 6 speed.

As long as you have an Auto 2nd gen CL/TL your best bet is the DC headers. They are now T409 stainless steel with a ceramic coating.

You can purchase them here. We have them in stock.
