Apexi Ws2!!!

I am thinking about getting the apexi ws2 but I had one concern. It is possible this has been covered in other threads, but my question is if this catback exhaust will sound ricey or sound like a beast and no can tell tell its a tl without looking at it(if you know what i mean). Im looking for a roarrr not like mrmrmrmrmrmrme!!!! hahah!! if you do have this exhaust setup, please let me know cuz i have some money ready to use. BTW did you keep the same hangers or bought some after market urethane hangers because i dont want it to hang at all. I know the tips are larger of course( 4 inches almost), but i want it to be close to how the stock setup is. Would I have to buy shorter hangers to achieve this or stock can do it? Any recommendations to get short hangers or the exhaust for cheap , please let me know.

BTW i was considering if i should removed the mid muffler and the the larger looking thing under the car. It seems like a lot of people are doing it on this forum. My question is if I removed both and have the apexi catback installed will it sound raspy??? Anyone have the mods done please let me know the results.

A video of the Apex WS. If you get the Apexi Catback you won't need the the stock exhaust system...It would be a brand new set up. So no point in removing the resonator and mid-muffler on the stock catback. Would be a waste of money that should be going toward the aftermarket.

What I did tho was just replaced my mufflers and removed my resonator instead of getting full system.

ended up just getting mid muffler removed and happy with the results. Indeed it does sound similar to a z/g35. I like it the way it is and most likely will not get the apexi catback.

mine is not that loud at all! i just took it to a local shop and they torched the hangers and just used a pry bar and bent them up so it now looks a lot better than it did before. till i get a lip kit its kinda ugly. some have suggested to paint the cans black and leave the tips shiny!! might do this myself. as for the sound again...yes there is a little drone but NOT MUCH! but i like a little sounds so to each his own! good luck! got any questions let me know i just put mine on last weekend!

Nice to see that old video of my car still going around and being put to good use By the way, that exhaust is still doing great after 3 years now!!!

it's also because of your video that I decide to get the Apexi WSII one month later in 05. Great exhaust after 3 years and still love the sound it makes.

By doing this, does it affect the cars performance in any way or is this just for sound?

Why would you wanna do that? Sleeper look is all engine, plus rims, plus exhaust/catback....

Not really. A sleeper is anything that looks relativley stock, but all the money is under the hood.

yupyup.. want to have a little stuff in the engine, but close to stock as possible outside. People notice the sound after i removed the mid muffler and they were like uh what you got in there haha.. Thats exactly what I want. I dont want any rims, no lowering or spring/shock upgrade unless the stock one goes bad. Only thing I have done to the exterior of the car is 20% tint all around with the front at 35 %. Whats left on my to do list in the next 2 wks after i get that tax money is intake, headers, new brakes + rotors all around with ss lines and thats going to be it for my car. Hey btw. instead of searching anyone want to be nice and tell me how gain I most likely will get with DC headers. I was told like 15-20 hp gains.

There's really nothing to think about. The Aem is a good intake, the Apexi Ws2 will barely give any gains in the HP dept. It's mostly for looks and sound. So your best bet would be to get a good intake because that would help with HP gain. I personally went with the Comptech IceBox for my intake. I like the stock look of it and I only heard positive things about it.
