got it for 1545.00 on shipdog.com. i hope this thing works as good as it sounds. i have had tremendous luck with pioneer products and this is all in one, you cant go wrong. i have to make a 2 din kit if i cant ill buy one. then cut my doors and mount the components, wire the subs, install the motion bypass for the navi.

no navi traffic. i live in the nyc metro area, there is traffic everywhere and by the time it would give you a new route, the traffic patterns switch. i lived here all my life i can predict within reason what will happen. now if i lived in LA or DC thats a diff story. i was considering the sirius adapter tho. i like sirius better then XM so if a sirius with nav traffic was out i would mostlikely get that. ill post pics here of my progress. you guys can all laugh while i attempt to make the dask kit work.

yeah im going to try and make a custom one for it down the road. the one theey offer is nice, but i am really getting back into the custom work. i want to do something special, since now i have tinted the car too, i think im going to put a solinoid in the back to swing a fog light down when the car is in reverse. we will see, im getting that itch to build stuff again.

here is an update. subs are wired. components mounted(need to work on door panel fitment, i got too happy with a big speaker and it hits the door.) things left... wire the pass front door this is impossible. my suggestion for anyone who wants to run new wires, beware of that door its miserable. mount the navi and install the bypass. this will have to wait till next weekend.

That is super similar to my setup. Eclipse AVN-5495 Double Din setup. I see that you made an effort to save the stock CD holder! Are you willing to make another? PM me. Thanks.

dvd based... one drive for the nav and another for the head unit

that's the other thing...
because it's so new, i don't no if pioneer's HD can survive
winter in canada. Hasn't really been road tested yet.
But i heard the dvd based systems have been able hold up.

im my driveway. rear pass window, smashed then peeled out cuz of the tint. climb in, rob everything(avic, cds, ionic breeze, etc), cut wires for subs/amp thru ski pass, climb out, pop trunk(alarm goes off) grab subs, run away.
i ran to look maybe 30-45 seconds after the alarm went off. not a soul to be seen. this was at about 515am in my driveway. it was very cleanly stolen, it seemed researched. didnt seem like the usual smash and grab.

oh well, back to stock....
