apexi exhaust

hi this guy is selling me his apexi exhaust for 100. its just the axle back though. could i just get my whole piping redone to a 2 1/2 inch piping or would it be better to get the piping from apexi to. i wanna get this exhaust because i think its pretty cheap dont you think

2.25 true dual all the way with one small res.... or 2.5 from cat and 2.25 from Y... of course all this with mandrel bend and a quality welder.

and make sure its inner diameter and not outer diameter on the piping

wat do you mean inner diameter and not outer. i was thinking about doing 2 1/2 from the cat all they way back to the exhaust. and later on ill prob order a high flow cat. i was thinking about taking all the resonators off too

Inside edge to inside edge is 2.5", not outside edge to outside edge. Well. Doesn't REALLY matter.... And 2.5 ALL the way may be too extreme. Might become raspy. Try it first and then add res from there. I still think from Y back with 2.5 is a bit to big.

yea, doo that. and then...

have a friend drive away at WOT and drive by at WOT and such to listen for any rasp or such..

then add a resonator from your judgments.

ok ima pick up the exhaust later today and put it on to see how it sounds than prob next week ima go get the piping redone

I'm also curious on how it would sound. I've always liked Apexi exhausts. hope everything works out for ya (last I checked the catback for the TL is like over 600 bucks )

do you think 160 is a good price to do 2 1/2 from cat back to Y pipe and 2 1/4 from y pipe to exhaust?

crush bend is when they crush the pipes to make bends on certain areas.. like... we need for y pipe to mufflers and so on..

mandrel bend is like.. touching a baby's ass...

smooth..

smooth = smoother flow out.

you can see where the bends are smooth..
