Apexi AFC Neo setting

Hello people,
I had my Neo installed few months ago, and today, after work,I was playing with my graphic colors and gauge types and stuff.
and I was at the Vtec setting option, and decided to change from 4800 to 4500.
Feels like it works good.
and I wonder how everybody else have their VTEC setting at.
come on. share with me~!

not many ppl here have the afc neo. i have one but cant change vtec bc if google why u cant, you will find out that its really pointless. unless u dyno you car stock and with the vtec engagement point changed. than u dont know if your getting more power or not. it might be in your head.

You arent getting any gains other than a placebo effect from changing it. Its not tuned to run with it engaged sooner. Do a little search on it you will find its pretty much pointless to change the point of vtec.

I don't have a vtec controller but you will see performance gains by lowering the engage point if you are doing racing but for everday driving it would be pointless to change the setting. The car is factory tuned to provide optimal power and fuel performance. Lowering your vtec for everday driving will burn a lot more fuel and be a big waste.

How is lowering it for racing going to waste more fuel for every day driving? Unless your at the engagement point you arent going to use more fuel. Lowering it is NOT going to give you more power for racing. The ECU is tuned for the factory setting. Lowering it will in most cases cause you to loose it. Its been dyno proven on these cars that you loose power playing with where it turns on.
