I know it's bassackwards, but would my visibility suffer? My driver headlight burnt out, I hope it's not the ballast. thinking strongly about ordering

WHY???
yellow is suppose to cut through fog, and the reason for them being mounted low, is so that they can "cut" under the fog, and also not reflect back as easily being further from your eyes then your headlights
and about your little comment, it's because all your mods are FAB
and your example, i also like how he has the air filter mounted right to the throttle body, and even you made a cheap intake to move the air filter out of the hot engine bay

not much fog around these parts, 6000k fogs with the stock lows can barely be seen from the drivers seat on or off they are leds maybe having to do with their low output. Plus I just wanted to do something different, if their are no visibility or legal ramifications from having yellow headlights, I think I want em

ahh.. you noob. go with ddmtuning. pair of bulbs = 12 bucks + shipping. and running 3k for low beams is considered illegal in my area, idk about yours. but the "best scheme" would be better off vice versa, 5k/6k low and 3k fogs. had that before and it wasn't cutting it for me, so i stuck with 5k/5k.

This reminds of that thread a couple months ago of a guy who wanted to sell his TL because of those "damn HID lights." He couldve just done what flaco here did.
I dont understand the point of having 3K low beams when the biggest appeal of HIDs is bright white light.

No way 3000Ks are that white in real life, though. IMO they belong only in fogs, maybe high beams.

and btw what class are you talking about with the lemans? (iirc certain classes are actually required to run a certain brightness, so they are easily identifiable at night, as to what class they belong to (i know it sounds stupid though )

haha it was a joke...
At the end of the day, 4300K is pure white and gives out the best light, but do what you want to
As far as those glasses... UV protection in night driving glasses?

it makes your car stand out in the crowd, but not in a good way IMO

If you had a car with DRL (Daytime Running Lights) maybe yellow would work but I don't think a 2nd Gen TL would look that great with yellow low beams.
Yes, it would be different and go along with the Le Mans type theme. IMO, go with 2500-3000k (yellow) fog lights and then use whatever headlight bulbs you like. That's what I did with my setup and it turned out really well.
I have seen white, blue, purple, green, pink, and yes even yellow. So just do what you think YOU will like, after all YOU will be driving your car and YOU should be happy with it.
