amazon slotted rotors

http://www.amazon.com/Slotted-Front-...f=pd_rhf_p_t_2

my caliper started eating away at my rotor and purchased a new caliper. I need advice on these rotors. only one of my rotors got messed up and would rather replace all of them than have one random new rotor. these rotors look like the ones i have on my car. they were on the car when i bought it. please help

the caliper ate the rotor? how low were the pads??!
or was the caliper stuck ON and damaged the other parts?
what did the brake fluid look like?
history of fluid change every 2-3 years? or never done before?

amazon: with no country of origin info on the rotors,,I would go to oreillys or autozone before getting those..
your LIFE may be on the line!!,,,brakes being an important part of the car~
see the many brake threads for other ideas

if budget is not an object there are many ways to go
the side slots are bling for most users, dont worry about getting them

yea I don't think that's a good idea. You're better off with some Raybestos at Rockauto.

Hell no....$150 for 4 slotted rotors? That's cheaper than Autozone DuraCrap. Racing Brakes rotors and pads all the way my friend. They are excellent all around performers. Spend the $$ and you'll be very happy and worry free.

Is your caliper seized shut or sticking shut? That will eat any rotor and pad fast. Just did a brake job on my wifes van today where just that happened.

Is it just me or do the stock brakes work really well anyway?
I understand that you need to replace the ones that are worn.
But does anyone that has done this really notice a big improvement in stopping power?

gabru:
the stock brakes suck
add some quality rotors and matched pads--it stops on a dime and gives 8 cents change!
controlled progressive feel to the pedal, more effort = faster slowdown
good brakes will keep the car the same length~

SS brake lines improve pedal feel by not expanding/swelling when hot and under pressure
Legend 2 piston calipers offer better grip

flushing brake fluid always a good idea and often cures soft pedal
