right now i have no resonator no mid muffler and i still have the cat on but i have a test pipe that ima put on in 2 weeks. so im just wondering has anyone done this on there car and does it sound nice.

So I cut it off before the y pipe and I have no resonator and no mid muffler and it sounds like a stage 3 srt4 its kinda sick with back fire and everything but its too fucking loud. If you go on youtube and type in acura tl no muffler and see a white 3gen tl with an asian guy talking that's exactly what it sounds like. Ima leave it for about a week then prob weld it back on cause its tooo fucking loud. Thanks for uz guys input

Mine is really agressive too.
Tonight I was putting groceries in the trunk and my girl started up the car and even though I have had mine done for months it still startled the crap out of me.

it sounds like a john deer tractor at idle, and 1 billion bees buzzing at vtec...lol..i know because i tried this in my old automatic...
doing this kills performance in our cars anyways. it may give you a slight top end, but a total loss of torque which we cant afford to lose...
since you have it all off, just run a single 2.5" all the way to a single N1 and see how you like that...gl

next i would suggest doing mufflers with a different y pipe then stock i did so and it sounds great keep the cat theres a reason its there.
i can put videos of what my sounds like if like 03 tl type s mid muffler removed and resonator with 2.5 in piping from catback with two xerator mufflers.
