AEM V2 or ICEBOX for TL-S

Hey Guys..
I read lot of suggestion of intake for TL-S and now I decided to take one of these two. And I need to more detail of them to pick better one for my TL-S.
Give me some suggestion. AEM V2? ICEBOX? What are you gonna pick?

Imo the aem v2 looks a bit weird with that huge battery in the way. I like the way the icebox looks a bit better. Performance wise, an intake is an intake.

V2 is only for TL-P's...

Icebox is quieter than other intakes like injen or aem, try using the search button, theres been alot of threads discussing the different intakes

I would definitely pick the Icebox since they do not make the V2 for the Type-s.

I've read that V2's will work on TL-S with some modification

I'd like to see where you read that and what the logic was behind it since the type s throttle body is bigger

you can cut off the 2.75" piping form the V2 and weld a 3" pipe to it OR you can just buy a 2.75" to 3" rubber coupler but you will be bottlenecking the intake system. P2R makes a 4" intake for the Type S that is designed the exact same way as the V2 except it goes from 4" to 3" unlike the V2 which goes 4" to 2.75". You'd save money grabbing the P2R

Yeah.. I heard V2 can install to TL-S and that makes me confused what I choose. But now I'm gonna get Icebox for my TL-S definitely.. I guess it's the best choice. Thanks for helping me out guys.

if you take off the 2.75" piping from the v2 your just left with the 3" pipe, the v2 has two pipes in it, the 3" goes from the filter to around the curve towards the TB, then theres another 2.75 tube inside of it so taking that out just leaves you with a 300 dollar regular aem cai lol so i dont see the point of modifying it to fit a type s, oh and i got my v2 on the black market for $125

Was it being louder that made you happier?

just to confirm with everyone, the v2 is only for the non-type-s. this is because of the different throttle body size, as you already may know.

for the tl-s i would go with either the aem or injen. they are pretty much the same thing, but some people prefer one over the other. under wot they sound a lot better than the icebox and it looks a lot nicer under the hood too. just my opinion.

Icebox is quiet cuz of the resonator they have. I'm looking for a AEM/Injen tubing to saw off and use to bypass that. I do miss the loud umph of the open throttle on CAI but cleaning was what switched me to the icebox. Your front bumper (tabs/etc.) is only designed to be removed/installed (repeat) so many times.
