im looking at this intake on ebay Item number: 150297528188 does any one know if it will fit a 2000 non type s thank u

No. The Type-s intakes are too short and larger dia than the TL-P

does anyone know exactly what an AEM cold air intake does to the car? does it also affect the sound of the car?

It helps improve air flow and cooler air. Only under WOT.
