Adding a Resonator to Kill Resonance
I searched a bunch about resonators and resonance but I didn't see anything specifically about this. I have XS headers and a Comptech cat-back exhaust. My headers produce a lot of resonance, and so I was wondering if adding a resonator to, or replacing the Comptech mid-muffler with a resonator would do anything to remove the resonance. All that I have read about resonators deals with the volume, but not necessarily the resonance issue. Anyone have any insight to this?
get new headers. if u chop up your comptech exhaust it will me almost worthless since its not authentic anymore.
xs headers are a hit or miss. either u get a good set or u dont.

A resonator isnt going to do any thing for the resonance. Try having an exhaust shop cut out the flex pipe and weld a better one in place. It may take the stress off the pipe causing it.
