Acura Tl 2003 Hid Kit Socket?

I have a 2003 Acura Tl, and i just ordered a D2R 8000K hid kit. Once i recieved my kit, the guy who i bought it from said I might need an extra socket to install this kit. I was wondering if this extra socket is needed for the installation of my Hid Kit?

Thanks

Why did you have to purchase a Kit? All you had to was purchase just the bulbs, which would have been D2R

The bulbs are just plug and play, I'm not sure what you mean by socket? Just take out the old bulbs and put the new ones in.

Ahh, i see. Well, our stock HID system uses a D2R bulb. With the kit you purchased, what kind of bulb does it come with? As long as you have a D2R bulb, then it should be plug and play with no modifications necessary. BTW, how much did you pay? Save your money and do a retro-fit with HID projectors, it'll be wayyy brighter than those 8000k kits....

my buddy's 6k or 7k hid kit...(sucks balls)

retro-fitted with S2000 Hid Projectors( look at the coverage compared to the PNP kit)

and my retro-fitted S2000 Projectors

ps- and it's only 4300K bulbs (stock)

when retrofitting a headlight, do you have to do the whole front bumper to acompany it, or just the ballast? or not even and just some bulb housing?

^^^ When retrofitting, you just do the headlights.

How much do projecters usually go for?

Thanks

bulbs have been seen for sale on ebay for $75 a pair and full HID kits for $90 shipped.

I just purchased a 9006 kit for the fogs recently. I paid $300 for an HID kit 5 years ago. I suggest you shop around next time. good luck
