99 SRI Install Question

Hey everyone, first post. I just joined. I've been reading over the site for the past week. I went from my G2 Integra to a G2 TL, and I love it. I just bought a SRI from a local dealer, nothing major I guess. I'm wondering if there is a thread here on installing my SRI or a how to. I'm new to this and yes I have tried searching....Any help is appreciated.

Please flame away now

The 99 is slightly different than the 2000+. In The 99 there is a littel radiator that needs to be bypassed/removed? (not sure as i dont have the 99) other than that its a very simple thing to do. I would remove the air box and the lower resonator to allow more cold air

CAI install (00+)

Resonator removal

Thanks, but I would really like to see if any of the 99 guys on here have put a short ram on there car. I mean the vacuum tubes and everything should be ok, but do you remove the whole intake box, or just the top part connected to the stock tubing. Please explain

Got the entire Stock Air Intake Box completely and install the SRI. The SRI does not need to rest ontop of the lower portion of the stock air box, it just stay attached to the engine and thats it.

you can either take the top of teh air filter box off, leaving the little rad hoses connected and the SRI fits into the stock air filter box. The only thing you HAVE to remove is the stock Air intake pipe.

I would reccomed taking the lower part out, it involves taking two more bolts out, and bypassing the rad hoses.. To do this simlpy follow both hoses, the intake and the outlet and connect them bypassing the rad on the lower part of the airfilter box. With the lower part out you will get cleaner to the SRI.

Trust me you can be stupidly drunk and get this mod done.. I have full confidence once you start it you will understand how easy the mod is to do.

I would also reccomed taking out the air intake resinator. It will allow much more air to get into the CAI.

Do I need to make these adjustments up by the TB like in this thread, and if so, do I also need to make adjustments with the rad lines if I remove the lower airbox ?

So If I dont remove the lower part of the filter box off, I dont need to mess around with those rad hoses ? The SRI came with a mount bracket, and I believe the bottom portion must be taken out in order to get it mounted. I thought this mod was just plug & play ? When I installed one on my 2g teg, it was all plug & play.
