99 shift plate -> 02 shift plate??

99 shift plate -> 02 shift plate??

wsup guys. have some question about shift plate.
and i know i do research but im curious.
and u can see from pictures,does 99 shift plate fits 02 shift plate?
picture looks like...

technically yes. but you would lose the ability to gateshift into 1st gear. Also, I believe that those pictures are of an 02 plate that got a special chrome job for ~$80 bucks.

The 99 will fit ut you loose the ability to use 1st gear by gate. The top picture he had it his chrome plated, thats not a 99 shift plate

yes i know that he bought it for 80 bucks and that's lil too much ^^;; so...
well ty guys ^^
so.. should i go to 80?? lolz

That's completely up to you. I personally wouldn't pay $80 for that, I'd much rather use it toward something performance. But if money isn't an issue for you, i think it is a sweet looking mod

Well if you know that what are you asking? Will the 99 fit???? Yes but you will lose 1st gear in the gate shift

Problem with the 99 plates is the only way you'll get one that has chrome underneath is to get a used one. The new ones don't have the chrome finish anymore.
