8000k HID headlights not as blue anymore!

I've recently changed my stock lights to 8000k xenon blubs on my 1999 Acura 3.2 TL. I was really happy with them, but after 3 weeks they started to look more white than blue. Is this normal?

they're breaking in, you can prolly see a lil better now, giving you a little more illumination of what you barely have with 8000ks.

I wouln't recommend anything over 6000k. Stock 4300k is optimum for the MOST output, after that intensity output of HIDs decrease. Ive gone with 5000k to retain the output and have a hint of blue.

No. Blue lights arent cool. go back to the stock 4300 or at most 6k. You are loosing way to much usable light

I see fine with 8000K, mine arent even that blue, The headlights look white with just a hint of blue. The only place i can see it is when the road signs reflect blue.

for some reason when I switched over to 6000K, my headlights seem way brighter on the road.. dunno why... I drove from Cali out here with the stock 4300K and just recently went back out there over the weekend with 6000K and that seem waaayyy brighter... maybe my stock ones were going out or something....

Probably because your stock ones were older. Its proven with the light spectrum they produce that the stock 4300 produces more usable light. K has nothing to do with the brightness. All hid bulbs are 35w (unless you upgrade to the 55 watt ones)

i had 6000k's on my infiniti then got 10000k's for my eclipse and have the stock 4300k's on my tl and i think the 6000k's looked the best even though they weren't as bright as the 4300k's. if you want a little more unique look go with the 6000k's
