You need to buy the rotora bbk big brake kit to get 4 piston calipers- ~$1500
There may be crossovers I am not aware of
Check vendor Excelerate- he is good on that stuff

Gen 2 TL/CL can use the 2 piston calipers of the old Legend ~$150 pair
Works amazing on my car- still getting used to the extreme short distance I can stop in

search my name and legend calipers- all the part numbers and info is there
Cost about 75 bucks per side to do
Now with bigger tires and teins- I should really be able to enjoy them

yes- best 150 buck mod yet!
Our regular calipers have 1 large piston
The 2 pistons are smaller and give much more surface contact against the pads,
and the caliper itself has a ~middle finger~ to add more stabilty to the outer pad

various size combinations of pistons were used on the NSX and Legends
the 95 LS Coupe are the ones we want

to think about it, until the tein order went in - I was around 1500 in all the mods!

Rumberojoe, make sure you also check to see if you'll need bigger rims for the caliper upgrade. Aftermarket calipers almost always won't clear even the 17" TL-S rims.

Another benefit of the Legend calipers- no issues with size
Sure its not brembo, but I dont go fast enough or need to empty the seats that hard to warrant those

hmmm warrant-
sounds like something you get after modding the car!

keep for referance
95 Legend LS Coupe
Raybestos Pro Grade rebuilts 72.99 kragen/checkers/partsamerica.com online
FRC10627 FRC10628
those come with the brackets- take the shiny metal clips that hold the pads in tight,
and transfer them to the TL caliper brackets
Place the legend brackets back in the box

No one here has done it. When the 3rd gen originally came out the mounting surface wasnt the same so id gather to say the RL wont either

OMG!!! I had forgotten about warrant and cherry pie, wow, those are some fond memories..

Back to the brakes, do the legend calipers have one piston on each side, or two on one side? And do they use the same pads as the TL, or do you have to forever remember to order pads for the Legend?

I still don't understand why they didn't put better brakes on our cars. They are bigger, faster and heavier (IIRC) than the Legend yet they skimped on the brakes.
