2G 03' LED headlight mod

so ive been debating for a little over a week and finally put in the order for led strips. my plan was to run them along the headlights and into a switch to give a nice look at night. what do you guys think about this? too ricer-y? im going to be installing them in the next two days so i'll but pictures up but wanted your own thoughts on this one. suppose i do go with it, what do you think would look best? should i have them going from the top of the headlights downwards to give like an eyebrow look or from the bottom to the top? has anyone here done this before and could give me a little insight? Bash all you want lol really trying to make a decision whether or not to spend my weekend installing leds or spending time with the girlfriend haha

I'd say spend the day with your chick. l0l. In other words, I personally dont like the look of the leds in our cars headlights....Actually, I dont like them in the headlights of any cars except for the audis.
If you already ordered them though, and you already have the switch, I'd say make a switch for footwell lighting using them.

dont waste time on doing this mod. dont spend time with the girlfriend either. go to the clubs and enjoy the lights there cause they'll be better looking than what you are planning on doing

hope im not thread jacking but this has to do with LEDs on the front of the car. what do you guys think about 5000k LED driving lights in those little slots in the bumper right below the fog lights? i know they look bad close to the headlights but i think theyd look pretty good down there. plus i think itd look badass at night with a black car and blacked out grille (soon to be blacked out headlights as well). i can get a pair for like $12 or something so its not like its a huge amount of money im "wasting." if anyone has any pics id appreciate it. and yes i did search.

Yup, I couldnt see anything in there, so I got 3 strips of 48 leds each....In blue nonetheless. I love it, its like a club in there. 15 bucks total, couldnt beat it.

man, get back to 5000k or lower. do yourself and other drivers a favor. your overall visibility is greatly affected (i know because i just went from 8000k back to 5000k and regretted ever putting 8000k in the first place.) and it also creates quite a glare for other drivers.

was it difficult putting them on? did you have to remove your headlights for it or did it just slide under?

Haha, I may be the only one who thinks this; but, wside09, I think they're freaking COOL, man!

They work perfectly with your fogs... I say keep them on. Only thing is that I don't like how they look with the headlights on... maybe projectors, but not in an open housing like what we have... They're definitely different; a lil bit tacky if it's not your thing, but you can't deny that they're pretty freaking cool. It has such an ominous glow...

I say good job to you man, and if you're gonna take it off; make it's YOU who wanna take 'em off, not your gf.

Always nice to see something different (even if it's too different).

i don't typically like 'ricer' mods, but this looks nice. i don't like the non-diffused turn signal though.

can you take this pic without the fogs on? it looks like an angry set of eyes..

i finally installed the strips. i think they look pretty good and am going to keep them on for a while and see if they grow on me. i was wondering, what upgrades could i buy to make my headlights look better? i hate the ugly yellowish high beams that come stock. also, the fog lights seem to have a little yellow in them as well. whats the best/best for the price set of lights i could get for the car? keep in mind i need to keep them street LEGAL (i live in NJ). any and all suggestions would be great just trying to get a better look for the front end of my car. im really new to cars, especially lighting so i couldnt find much on my own (well i didnt really know what to even search for). if any of you more experienced guys could show me some stuff that'd be great. thanks guys

do you have pics of the strips?

as for the fog lights, go for HIDs. 4300-6000K would be good if you dont want yellow (3000K). and how often do you use your high beams? HID highs seem to be a waste to me. you could get Silverstar Ultra high beams.

any links to lights that would fit my car? i want something bright but sleek. i use my high beams occasionally, but it bothers me that the color of them isnt to appealing.

If i were to do leds, I would make a board and put it inside the parking lights area (with orange diffusers removed obviously).
