Nice and clean. Why didn't you bring your intake down further to make it a CAI instead of a short ram? throttle bodies? why would you need more than one TB?

thats a good point
there used to be a CAI but my old engine exploded cus i went through a puddle (i live in florida) so this is what i opted for

as far as the throttle bodies go, its common auto knowledge that if you have an individual throttle body system (1 per cylinder), and small trumpets after the actual butterfly valves, with one air box over the entire setup, the horsepower will increase, and throttle response will increase too.
its the most efficient method of induction.
It will have an entirely custom intake manifold, but it will look significantly nicer

ITB's are a bitch to tune, you most def need E-manage for that.

thanks for the feedback!
I'm actually going design an intake, and have every part custom made in a machine shop, and assemble the parts myself

yes, just like the one in the second picture, but with an enclosure over the top with a lexan cover to show off the internals
imagine this as a V6, except with a single piece of lexan:

this is a supercharger kit for a bmw Z8

These are gonna suck up some air.

ITBS are . Just wondering how these would sound and perform on our V6.

Heard a car in person from a k20 powered civic....that thing was unbelievable.

Give us an update.

Kaotic_racer, are you planning to cut holes in the hood to let the trumpets out. Your current ram air intake won't be able to handle the combined intake flow rate. Or unless you fabricate a ram air hood like those used by the discontinued ram-air Firebirds.

You make a very strong point, which i like a lot
it really depends on how much space we end up with in the end
i was thinking about doing it more like that BMW Z8s engine i previously posted, except transversally mounted of course

when we finish building the parts, we are going to have it, so it can be re-produced, and sold, as a kit
sooo, whoever would be interested in buying an ITB intake manifold with all necessary hardware included, just let us know
currently unknown price

As someone mentioned above, don't forget to provide before/after dynos. Whats the ETA of this? and will it work for Type-S?

I sure hope this isn't some b/s, I'm trying to stay on the optomistic side.

We are currently in the process of designing the intake manifold right now.

Mod Edit...... In order to talk any further of possibly selling or advertising a product here you will have to become a member

>>heres a video showing about what the engine would sound like
the only diference, is that your engine will be higher reving, due to the fact that this is a 3.7 liter engine;enjoy;

ITBs even custom will cost you around $2k to make them properly and you will gain MAYBE 18hp if your lucky over an aftermaket intake of some sort.

you 17 and probably still in HS. I had dreams but they were a little more realistic.

And i do what i say.

well i'm sorry that you weren't as intelligent as me as you were in HS
and you're 22, you drive a freakin' acura TL?????
this is my dads car
would you like to see MY CARS?
which by the way, i bought with money i earned, in case you were gunna make some smart ass remark about being spoiled.
BTW, the reason why i didn't do this, is because its my dads car, and i got bitched out
i actually had the the design made in autocad 3d, and have it made at a buddys machine shop, so if you would like one, let me know, all you have to do is buy a standalone engine management system to control it. (best in addition with headers)

Here on Acurazine, we don't "hook up" our fathers cars and talk about un-realistic modifications.

Clubrsx might be better suited for you. You won't make anyone jealous posting your cars either. At 17 and still in H.S you would need a good story to explain how you EARN all of your money.

I still remember back in 2001, there was this "mysterious mod" thing that roamed this and the Accord forums. It was suppose to be an induction gadget that would produce big horsepower jump and would only cost $300. But after a long while, the creator was still unable to duplicate his invention in terms of claimed increase performance, let alone having sold the device to the general public. Do a search for more "mysterious mod" information.

Kaotic_racer, please cut the BS. Work hard on your mod, because everyone here is counting on you to beat the odd.

Dude, chill out. This is the internet. You're taking people's comments too seriously. If you can do it, then do it. I think it's a cool idea. Any new mod idea is always facinating. There will always be critics and if you let them get to you then you already lost.

i'm not exactly sure what ITBs are or means, but i do know that if you did in fact do those welds on the intake, then you must be pretty good. those welds are money.
