Can i replace my 2002 acura 3.2 tl car stereo with the 2001 acura 3.2 tl model? and if so, what are the disadvantages of doing this?

 

the 99-01 stereo doesn't play burned cds so people usually do the opposite and get a 02-03 HU for their 99-01......

 

Thank you. Do you or anyone know if my 2002 tl stereo is fixable? The one that i have is broken. the CD hatch is stuck open and will not accept or eject CDs. It displays an error message on the screen when i turn it to CD mode.

If it is not fixable, what are my best options for replacement?

 

Best options are find a used 02-03 factory radio, or go aftermarket

 

you may want to call some junk yards and see if they have one.....or wait till one comes on the black market.....
