RWD yeah it's just not a honda thing...

but the 6spd could have very well been an option. There was clearly a demand or they wouldn't have offered all subsequent TLs with the 6spd. And I could think of many people (and I imagine many more) 30+ guys who'd want a sport sedan...

Obviously the RWD platform is a true dream, and the 6 speed should have been offered on the TL. Yes I understand that the CL is a coupe and thus marketed towards a demographic looking for more performance, but the "sportier" TL-S should have also featured a 6 speed to enhance its performance appeal. If the CL-S had the 6 speed, the TL-S could've easily had it as well and it could've sold as well as the CL-S6 did (small quantities, but a few thousand around would be great).

I would say all this either on the 2G or 3G platform (probably cooler if it was on the 2G though ::thumbs up::

  1. 3.7 VTEC with SH-AWD!!!
  2. Modernized interior (smack the 4th gen interior inside )
  3. Carbon fiber hood (painted on top)
  4. + roof
  5. + trunk (painted partially like BMW's)
  6. fix up the back bumper (or rear lip) to fit on some quads!!!
  7. larger wheel diameter (like the new platform, 18x10 front, 19x11 rear)
  8. automated tinted windows (already have that technology, tints are "on" when there's no current running through the glass)
  9. true dual exhaust! (w quad tips!)
  10. Acura's own signature headlights/tailights (like BMW's angel eyes or Audi's fairy lamps lol) maybe something like this
Damn... I gotta take a break...

So I've thought about this for a while... here goes:

From the years 2022-2023, Acura will make a special edition TL for all the loyal fans. There will be only 2002 models made in the year 2022 and only 2003 models made in 2023 --> they will be the Acura TL-SE (special edition) for the 20th anniversary of the first acura TL Type-S's!!! It will come in two trims, the Acura TL-SE and the Acura TL-SE Sport.

ACURA TL-SE

MSRP @ $55,000
Comes in all the Type-S colors and the special edition KBP (used to be reserved for the 3G TL-S models)

Have choice of A-Spec spoiler (with RED lights!) or Mugen Spoiler as exterior accessories.

Interior will be hand stitched. Choice of:
  • ebony interior with choice of red/blue/silver stitching or
  • white interior w/red stitching (only for WDP's!!!)
  • tan interior w/red stitching
*red cuz of the type-s theme!

Standard features on the TL-SE will include:

  1. 315 HP improved 3.7 VTEC with SH-AWD!!! Naturally aspirated FTW!
  2. Modernized interior (smack the 4th gen interior inside )
  3. Carbon fiber panels to offset the weight added by the additional features-->
  4. + hood (painted on top)
  5. + doors (painted of course)
  6. + engine covers
  7. + roof
  8. + trunk (painted partially like BMW's)
  9. fix up the back bumper (or rear lip) to fit on some quads!!!
  10. larger wheel diameter (like the new platform, 18x10 front, 19x11 rear)
  11. Automated tinted windows (already have that technology, tints are "on" when there's no current running through the glass)
  12. True dual exhaust! (w quad tips!)
  13. Acura's own signature headlights/tailights (like BMW's angel eyes or Audi's fairy lamps lol) maybe something like this
  14. Ability to shut off 2 cylinders to conserve gas
  15. O*nstar just in case
  16. Lo-Jack/w Ravelco and remote start
The Acura TL-SE Sport will have the additional features:

MSRP $69,000 (giggidy)
  1. Comptech's (back from the dead!) very own supercharger, bringing the engine to a maximum 355 HP @ 7400 Rpm
  2. ATLP tuned exhaust (true dual exhaust)
  3. Manual 6-speed transmission (from the 03 CL-S for authenticity lol) with RWD
  4. Brembo brakes
  5. Eibach Prokit springs (Why not coilovers? Leave something for the owner to mod!)
  6. Sport rims in conjunction with Work --> to make carbon copies of the Varianzas!!! In choice of flat black, chrome, machined, or aluminum anodized (19 x 12 front, 20 x 13 rear)
  7. And the highly coveted... AcuraZine emblem for the owner to put anywhere he/she wants
Damn... I gotta take a break...
