Question The Youngest Guy on this Board?

I'm wondering who is the youngest guy that own a 3.2TL on this forums. I think I'm the only 17 years that drives the 2000 3.2TL. This is my first car and I had it for a year and love everything in it.

Damn I thought that I was young when I got my 2000. I was 17 just about to turn 18, 19 now though! But the only difference between me and you two is that I dont make the payments on the car, lets say it was a gift...

From 4 to 10. From 4pm to 10pm... 5 hrs excluding dinner time? What do you do to make that kinda $$ to be able to afford a TL?

That is right, what do u do?
I mean it is not uncommon for parents to kids nice cars these days anymore. So if ur parents are nice enough to do that and u "really appreciate it" (very rare though), than I see nothing wrong with it.
For example I heard a guy: He was sent here by his parents to study in a private school($30,000 a year for school fees), and when he war old enough to drive the first they bought him was a brand new Ferrari. I mean that is WRONG. I used to question why, every time I hear a story similar to that( which happens here in Vancouver a lot, since we got tons of immigrants from Asia). However now I could just tell u why, these parents feel that this the way to repay their kids for not being able to spend quality time with them. I mean why would u buy ur 16 years old son a Ferrari, unless u are a moron. When u ask them why u work so hard, guess what they all would say: "Of course, for my family". Ironic isn't it.

Sorry I tend to go off topic, as a friend of mine said to me yesterday that I analyze evreything I hear and sees. I am starting to think maybe I should switch to major in Philosophy or Social Science or some sort.
But than I am Asian myself, ESL too, so I'll stick with business.

Damn, I thought I was the youngest on this board, REd Hot beat me by 18 days. Happy birthday! I just turned 17, and have been driving the TL since August of 2000. This was my second car, my first was a 1998 Chevy Suburban(it is sitting in the garage right now). I use it to go skiing. Anyways, i REALLY appreciate the car and I do work hard, at a job and school to earn this. I think I deserve this, so if you are thinking I am spoiled, think again!

That was just my comment for his comment of "I work my ass off for my ride..." I really couldn't tell what kind of job pays so much that only five hours a day for three days a week (plus whole day Satuday) is going to afford a TL.

I know about those well-off parents that buy their children nice cars. But it didn't sound like that is the case with Tat1983's. Get my point?

I am 20, and I am still waiting for our family 02 TL. I am driving a 97 Olds and I just think my parents are nice enough to let me drive it. I never considered the Olds my car and will not for the TL.
But I'll think again though.

Just joking with you.
We are all lucky and better off anyways.
TLs are nice car, I do sometimes think I am spoiled.

Maybe Tats doing a litle drug trading with the Cubans-especially the cuban cigars!!
J/K!!!! Well, any 17 year old with a TL has to have help with the payments. Mine is already paid off and I got nothing to worry about. Hey TAt, isn't it great to be able to own such a nice car-especially when you pull up to a old fart and they look at your car and they have a disgusted look on their faces!

hey, so what if he got a ferrari...isnt it the goal of most parents to always give the kids things that they themselves didnt have? besides, you wouldnt be criticizing the parents if YOU were the kid getting that fine italian car...i know i sure as hell wouldnt. and if i was, even with all the criticism, in the end i am still the one driving the ferrari and not you

I feel really honored to be up there with Tanner and Tim!

I'm 20. Every cent I've put in to my car I've earned and I'm kinda proud of that. I make more money than my parents as a Software Dev, I've never been to college (barely graduated high school ) and I've never taken a computer class.

I had no credit when I went to buy my car and I only had my job for 6 months. My age and my credit led to me making a huge sacrifice and bending over to the only approved loan I could get - $23k (I put $10k down) for 6 years at 20% intrest. It has been 5 months and currently my pay off amount on my loan is $18500. Not doing bad considering all the mods I've done huh? Damned addictive site!

I tried refinancing at Bank of America but was turned down... currently I'm looking into refinancing with a credit union, I applied for one yesterday and should know yay or nay by tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I did the samething what Nate did, excpet that I'm a little younger. I spend my life saving which is $8000 dollars for down payment, and I'm paying around 400 bucks a month. I work in a Chinese restaurant as a Waiter(kissing A$$ for tips) its like a family business. I make an average of $70 a night, and around $1200 a month (enough for my car payment, insurance, and mods). But do you guys realize that expenses in Florida is much more cheaper than up north.

Well, I am 29 years old and I am proud that I have a TL. Considering that i am married with 2 children going to daycare(expensive as hell), have a brand new mortgage(need I say more?), etc. You young bucks who have the TL, be very fortunate that you have one, cause when you are established with major bills, mortgage, etc, you'll know you're in the real world. Man, you guys are lucky. I need to move to FL for sure. You guys spent a lot, I mean you're talking life savings?! If I were 17, I'd put it in the street soon (in light of the fact that its tanking). BUT, it is the darkest before dawn no? Just using a simple rule of 72 shows how much the return rate of your investment makes a difference if you started investment at 17 or at 21.

Just a thought, but I wish I drove a TL at 16. But then I'm only 21 so I'm still a 'young buck.' Wise words CBS, I will watch out for those daycare monsters.

Well like i said earlier I am 22. I live on my own. I have BILLS to pay. I invest my money into company stocks every pay-day, and I also have been putting awaying into a 401k for two years now. No offense but by the time I am as old as some of you in here I plan to be retired. Hopefully if everything turns out well.

I'm 21. I used to work at my pops restaurant and some many other things too. I used to work 3 jobs and still went to school that's how I got my TL. I'm glad you guys are driving TL's. But I think we spend way too much money on cars, myself included.
