You Won't Believe It!!
For the past week i have been hearing this loud popping sound whenever i went over large bumps, and at first i thought it was a blown strut or shock, but i have just had new ones installed when i installed my springs this past winter, but on saturday i was driving down a major road (Orchard Lake) and i was making a left turn onto 10 mile road when my car just locks up and i get stalled in the middle of the intersection, so i jumped out and ran into a parking lot to avoid getting t-boned, when the coast was clear i ran back to see what happened, come to find out the caliper had came loose and got lodged in my wheel, the top screw that holds my caliper on was missing, holly Crap!!
My dealer was the one that did all the work when i got my slotted rotors and brakes lines, etc..., so i coudn't believe it, they are going to have to replace that wheel, and fix whatever else got *^cked up!!

Since nothing really major happened, i would not resort to sueing them, besides they have been really great as far as service goes thats why when this happened it was such a big shock, it is totally unlike them, but they are going out of there way to fix it, they already ordered me a new wheel, and bolts for my caliper and they are going to paint the caliper , because i had them painted black , but the paint rubbed off of the corner that it rubbed on the wheel!
And the service person was very appoligetic, and after reading about some of the horror stories on some of the service people, i think i got it pretty good!

Sorry to hear about your incident. Glad to see that unlike some sue-happy lemmings in the bunch, you were able to handle it maturely and professionally with the service folks. As much as we'd wish they weren't, they are human and make mistakes. Hopefully they don't make many, and we all hope it doesnt happen to us. Sounds like they are taking care of you , as a good dealership should.
