You have to be kidding me
So this morning i go to my car 02 TL-S and i notice a crack in the dash coming from the passangers vent at chest level. it is not the vent closes to the window but the vent to the left of that. it is about 1" long and it starts at the top of the vent. the car has 84,000 miles on it. it doesn't sit in direct sunlight to offten and with it being winter i find this hard to believe. wife has the car today so i will post a picture tommorrow or tonight.
any input would be great. this has never happened to me so i don't know what i am to do next.
this litterally happened overnight.
the car has never been in an accident either.
thanks,
Mrproul

I noticed today that my defroster vents (closest to the windshield) are warped as well. It was sticking up in the corner and I had to push it down a little. Then in the middle it was sinking in a bit. I'm not very happy at all with this.

i sat in the car last night and i started to notice more and more that my dash was warping. the airbag is comming out of its hole. if i push on the air bag, it will sink back into place. this is now becoming a safety issue and i will be bringing this up with acura customer service, only after the dealer has a chance to look at it. that is fare on there behalf.
so i guess my question is:
How many 2nd gen TL-S and TL-P's dashes are actually warping?
thanks,

the reason i am at a loss, is the fact that my 94 integra ls tan dash which has been in the sacramento summers has never once showed signs of cracking or fading. so for a car that has 184,000 miles on it and is almost 14 years old and cost 2/3rds less than the most expensive acura available at that time.
I guess what it am trying to say is:
Why is it that car manufactures think this is ok for them to do and when the customer goes to them with this problem they are greeted with a "well the car is less than 6 years old and it has xx,xxx miles on it, sorry there is nothing we can do about it."
Accountability for there product is non existant.
