Are you Happy wit your TL??

Traded for a BMW 528i/5-speed. A year later I traded that car for my current car, a Jaguar XJ8 which handles better than you'd expect and is faster than a TL. Already gettingbored of the big Jag and am looking at getting another BMW, maybe an M-roadster or a 540i/6-speed. I also kind of like the G35 coupe and also the E-class MBZ.

A comparison to a G35 may be a little closer, but you're still comparing a FWD to RWD car.

I guess my user name says it all. I bought it used about 6 months and 7K miles ago. I love the classy styling--understated aggressiveness. I'm like a little 41-yr-old kid when I take it out on the freeway. It'll probably wind up costing me a lot of money on a speeding ticket someday.

I've had a 99 tl and now a 03 tl-s w/ navi. I love both of them, the tranny issue is beat to death. And Acura has taken care of everyone i know that had a tranny problem. From what i've been told they fixed the problem (my 03 is doing good so far), and except for a couple of squeeks in the 03 seatbelts and dash (near the navi) that were all taken care of, the 03 is even better than my 99. Overall, 2 thumbs up! BTW...i always get complemints from strangers about how they love the stock blue color of my TL-S.
I have a 1997 TL, 3.2. I like it, but I think its too big and heavy for my tastes. Its a great car, I love the interior especially. With nearly a 100,000 miles on it, it drives quite well. Its my 4th Honda/Acura car and I am not disappointed.

I love my whip... best decision that I have made so far in reference to cars... I get a lot of compliments about my car. Especially from the ladies...{:-) No issues other than some fat azz mechanic at the acura dealership busted the stiching out of my driver's seat. But I am in the process of getting that fixed under the warranty.

The small things are adding up at an increasing rate. Thank goodness it hasn't been the engine or tranny - but it too has been acting up lately.
I can't wait to ditch the car for something made in japan or germany - All wheel drive or Rear wheel drive.
Sadly I may never purchase another honda product b/c of this experience.
My 1995 Accord EX is in better condition/has aged better than my 2000 TL.

I own a 2000 NBP TL-P with 37K. I am not happy with my TL, it has given me lots of problems since I purchased it. (The paint is thin, overspray, a strange shimmy that won't go away, the driver door rattles or vibrates, the seat squeaks, the car makes strange noises often, the tranny is slipping, the lower trim rail is peeling, the window seal is defective, rear door seal is torn, the fake wood doesn't fit properly - even when replaced, the wheel bearing went bad, there is a rather large gap where the center vent meets the dash, rotors warped 3x, they replaced the pads with a softer compound and now they take longer to stop, etc...)

As the freshman students say, "It's all relative man!" Going to a Y2K TL from a 14 year old Isuzu Trooper II - Hog heaven. Three years into the car with the stock tires waning - mild disappointment. Easily solved by new tires. Test driving a G35 - resigned envy. What is your frame of reference?
