As an NSXT owner, I would never deign to embarrass another Acura driver. I have too much respect for the marque. However, when driving on the 215 Beltway in my wife's AMG C-32 here in Las Vegas today, a TL Type S driver persistently baited me. First, the TL cut in front of me and slowed, daring me to pass. When I refused, he changed lanes, slowed and pulled in literally inches behind my rear bumper. Again I refused to race. When we reached a light and stopped, he pulled beside me laughing. I had enough; this person clearly needed to be taught a lesson. I lowered my window and told him "let's go on the green". I promptly blew him away. After slowing to the speed limit, the TL caught up and, once again, pulled in front of me and slowed, daring me to pass. I changed lanes, downshifted and blew by him yet again.
The TL Type S is one superb car. But stock-for-stock it is no match for the C-32. I ran a 13.2 second/107.5 mph 1/4 mile with that car several weeks ago; the C-32 Life website reports (with ET Slips included) a best time of 13.07 seconds and many times in the 13.1-13.2 area.
If the owner of the TL who challenged me today happens to read this, you got what you deserved.

The rims mean nothing. You can get AMG rims on the slowest Mercedes made. And some people "re-badge" their cars in a misguided attempt at posing. Granted a TL-S has no chance against any AMG Benz (and there's no need for immature taunting in any case), but you can't always trust appearances!
But then again, some ppl re-badge just to bait others into embarrasement... LOL.. I have seen Audi A6 4.2 badged as 2.8, S4 badged as 1.8T, MB S600 badged as S320, CLK55 badged as 430... and so on..
But, I have to say... the TLS that raced a C32 deserve to get embarrased.... he/she should have known better...

I agree with the masses..... that was the right thing to do. I very rarely initiate a race, and if I do, it's not with something I know will blow me away. I love my TL-S... but I also know my place. Testing your car out against others is one thing, but this guy was obviously toying with you. Way to smoke him!!
I think it comes down to sportsmanship and class. I would race a car I knew was faster just for the sport. But to cut people off and tale them and try and bait them into a race is just stupid. If I get toasted I take it like a man and flash them the thumbs up. The TLS is a sporty sedan but it is not a sports car

Well... it's not AMG vs TL-S but it was 01/02 Corolla-S vs TL-S.

Some people... If it says AMG on the rims or the back of the car, I tend not to beg for embarrassment.
