This is a small Mod i picked up by accident. The guy sold it to me for 20 but said that he could do it for 15 if i get a lot of people. Its really sticky and fits perfectly on the emblem on the steering wheel. Its flexible so you can put it on a curved surface also. If you guys like it i can get more, but supplies are limited. Hey thats pretty nice. Is it 1 or 2 pieces? And did it line up perfectly with the indentation thats already on the wheel?

its 2 peice, it fits perfectly, its stuck on so tight that once it makes contact with the wheel it wont move ever again, so you have to get the alighnment right. As far as it coming off, i dont think so, plus its very thin.

 

yeah, having that "A" bust off and fly right into your eye doesn't sound too pleasant:p

IMO any modifications to the airbag needs to be done with extreme caution. It's your face you're putting at risk, after all.

BTW, a flexible, sticky emblem can be placed on places other than the steering wheel cover!

Damn, i post a pic of my new emblem and you guys all look at my legs. Yes they are hairy and thats why i can wear short. Its like 30 dgrees outside and i fell on ice whil walking to my driveway. the amblem is raised. And i wouldnt put something on my car which i let my other drive every once in a while, that would injure or kill her in case the air bag deploys. I'm telling you guys, this thing is like the wood kit peices. Once you put it on, it doesnt move, so you have to get it right he first time, it has a really sticky glue on it. Of course its your decision. The emblem is not a sticker, it is raised and looks like it cam from the factory. ive gotten a few compliments on it already. Just get back to me.

Yes, its plastic, and it falls into the cuts on the steering emblem perfectly.

I still dont get how the air bag deploys. Does anyone have pics of a 99-01 or 02 with the drivers airbag deployed?

The 02 steering wheel covers split open horizontally (they break into upper and lower pieces) to allow the airbag to inflate. The emblems are designed to break apart in the middle when that happens, leaving two halves that remain attached to the covers.

 

if the airbag gets activated...you will have the emblem fly at your face, and thus you will have a huge acura emblem on your face. LOL

Keep in mind that i am not making any money on this, i just want to hook you guys up. Also just some quick info. The emblems are chrome, just like the trunk emblem. They are a 99% perfect fit. It looks like it came straight from acura. I recommend you install it with steady hands. The glue is so strng that once you get it on it wont move so make sure you do the outside first then do the A. Ok thats it.

It looks cool. I just wouldnt do it b/c of the airbag issue. I mean I love Acuras and all but have the symbol in my face forever? Im gonna pass. Looks nice though. Good job.
