The 1st pic is of the 2002 tail with the yellow bulbs.
The left side of each pic is where the yellow bulb is. Yes, the bulbs are different. I got yellow bulbs.

Why yellow? IMO yellow is almost like the factory orange bulbs. Also, in the second pic, how come the lights patterns are so close together? Shouldn't they be further apart because the clearance lights are at opposite ends of the car.

This is much easier to do than you think, you don't even have to change the bulbs. Go to your local auto store and buy yourself some yellow lens repair tape for $1 and wrap it around your existing signal bulbs with slits cut for heat ventilation. I did this before.

Blu,
I have yellow bulbs in my 02 tails. I didn't know they were yellow when i bought them, thought they were orange (pack didn't say so i went with eyeing the bulb), and i prefer them more than the amber bulbs. I think they look brighter and cleaner than the stock amber ones. I also tested them with sunlight shining on em and no problem with visibility at all as it glows strong. They look good on the rears esp at night.

Definitely I think the yellow looks better as long as they aren't too white and a nice rich yellow. But I would prefer the amber over hyperwhite signals which cheapen the look of the car IMO.
