XS Headers issues?

I came across some threads but they all seemed scattered. I figured Id start a thread to bring it all together, so its easier to find in the future. So the question is How many of you have expirienced issues with your XS headers. I just purchased mine and i will be installing it tomm.

Please state how long you have had the headers installed and what the issue is. also include if you used the gaskets and bolts provided with the headers.

This could be every beneficial for the people that are thinkin about buyin the XS headers. This thread might seem a bit one sided but its good to know all of the bad before you purchase something. We all know the gains are there and there are members who have been runnin them for over a year without a single issue.

Slight resonance at about 1700K and 2600K. I really don't mind it; to hear the resonance the radio must be off and you must be listening for it. You wouldn't notice it if you were conversing with a passenger while driving.

The bigger issue is when I installed the headers it pushed my B-Pipe up, very close to the heat shield. Now the resonator and the B-Pipe just behind the resonator rattle with their respective heat shields upon ignition, turning the car off, and going over bumps.

I'm still very happy with the product as the gains are easily felt and it won't take an exhaust shop much to bend the metal hooks that hold the hanger to lower the B-Pipe.

Installed with 10X125 40 8.8 bolts and my old OEM gaskets.

No issues. Had them on since November. Used all provided material, but that was a no no. Will be replacing in the next couple weeks with better gaskets, and harder bolts.

On since July '06. Used brand new oem gaskets and 8.8 stainless bolts from a marina shop. There is some vibrations around 2250, but its probably due to the temporay fix i put on the downpipe hanger since the original damper on the hanger disinigrated and i've yet to get a new one on. Other than that they are fine... and the power is there as you know kevin haha

Had mine since Aug 06. Had some tension issues which caused resonance, re-aligned exhaust and took of header hanger (flex pipe). Fixed all the problems I had. Used stock gaskets and better bolts/nuts.

I love the XS's already...

Sick TypeS...how long did it take for your headers to be shipped? Only reason I ask, is because I won the auction on Monday night, recieved an e-mail on Tuesday afternoon saying they would be shipped Thursday(today) and to watch my e-mail for a confirmation number.

Well...I've kept checking my e-mail for a confirmation number from FedEx, and my phone just rang...it was my mom telling me there is a huge ass box that just rolled up to my house...I'm actually very confused right now lol...hopefully the installation is as smooth as this shipping!

sucks I gotta wait till May tho

I shipped them back home in MA...I'm down in Florida. I didn't have any where to store them if I shipped em down here at school, and I didn't know when I'd have a free day. Nothing sucks more than knowing they're just sitting back at home lol

Home Depot, Lowes, ace hardware. for the bolts. Reuse the stock manifold gaskets, and use the XS Donuts on the y pipe

The gaskets XS provided were made out of recycled Batterries so not very reliable. You almost could expect a leak.

The Bolts provided were just plain crap....they would snap during installation.
You need the 8.8 Bolt from a hardware store...the ones I got were even Brass if I remeber correct.
