Wow, I hit a coyote on the highway. How much will this cost?

well, honestly it's not that bad .... you see, the OEM front lip for the body kit is probably the same price as the bumper cover. I don't think you'll have a choice but to spend the $500 ... 1/2 of that will probaly be for paint. good luck with junk yards, most of them in austin dont have acuras for some reason but if they did i'm sure the front and rear ends you be crashed.

You need a new bumper. Search the local salvage yards and try to find a used one. If not use the links provided in this thread and get a new one

need a front bumper cover too..
I feel your pain. I hit a 5 gal paint bucket on the freeway that blew into my lane and now the front driver's side corner of the bumper looks like the that lip. Fortunately the fog light survived, I just had to replace the bulb. There is also a chunk out of some black box looking part directly behind the fog light (any ideas what that may be and should I bother replacing it?)
The quotes I've seen in the Denver area have been $650-680 for the bumper + paint + install. Has anyone had any luck finding a used bumper in Denver? I'm looking for a SSM one as well..

Here's a great place to find salvage yard parts:
http://car-part.com/
It allows you to search the inventoires of many salvage yards all over the country. I've had great luck with it buying parts for other cars.
And be sure to check out the quality of work at the body shop that quoted you $200 for painting and installing the bumper. There's nothing like a bad paint and body work to kill the look of your car.
You might want to call your Acura dealer to see if they recommend or use a particular body shop and get a quote from that place.
And I know that you're trying to keep the cost under $500 but at some point the hassle and risk factor might outweigh the savings.

I know the person that would be painting it. I'm not worried about that.

For a reconditioned bumper, they're either charging too much, or the shipping is too much.
