So I'm doing my timing belt and I want to know if this is a good deal. (03tls)

Part numbers are confusing and I'm about 80% certain this will fit. Can you give me confirmation?

Made an offer, got him down to $25! Want to be 100 before pulling trigger.

 

That certainly looks like a part that could fit... BUT I would not gamble on it, specially since it can destroy your engine.


Why are you out-sourcing the parts? the AISIN KIT contains everything OEM and its pretty darn affordable Vs dealership.

 

Trying to be patient and get all oem parts for under $140. Only 94k miles so a little bit of time to play lets make a deal.

Aisin doesn't make the drive belts or pulleys as that would be Gates from what I've read. Already got a new Yamada water pump for $60 deal searching.

 

The OEM belt is made by Mitsubosho which is what the AISIN Kit comes with and all the parts with the AISIN kit is what the car comes with from the factory including the water pump which is made by AISIN for Honda.. All that is left is to slap a Honda sticker on all of it and it would be the dealership direct parts.

That is why all the forum recommends the AISIN KIT.. Is the OEM Supplier after-all.




PS: Gates doesn't make the OEM pulleys or drive belts, They make Aftermarket parts for it.
Yamada doesn't make the OEM water-pump. The OEM water-pump is made by AISIN for Honda.

 

I feel so long as you get a quality part, you're good. Its better to do it vs waiting for the perfect moment with all oem. Just get Beck Arnley or something that repackages the OEM supplier for cheaper if you are that concerned.
