those are too small imo - try the 3.25 or 3.75 tips instead.

?

if anything find somewhere local and try out the 3" ones, then return if it u like it and buy those...2" are like our stock ones.

imo 3" is really small, most people here have either 3.25, 3.5 or 3.75

I have 3.25's and I think they look too small sometimes. But they look good overall. Really happy with them. They stick out a little bit, but it looks aggressive.

I want a kit, but can't find a dealership that has the whole SSM kit for a "good" price.

Now I'm debating whether to get 3.25" or 3.75"

What about this one: http://www.amazon.com/3A-Racing-62-1...694432&sr=8-27

It says 3.25" but it says 2" inlet, is that where it attaches? It is 5" long, too much stick out without a kit or no?

and you probably wont find SSM at a dealer, try acurapartspeople but i doubt they have SSM or try recycling yard you may have to break down and buy one another color and get it painted to your car

Are your tips the 3A slanted ones? Do you have them mounted with longer edge on the bottom (/) instead of on top (\) ?

no his isn't slanted...and if you do get the one that's slanted the longer part should ALWAYS be on the top...always....
and get 3.75" like FirePR2002's and mine

That's good - I was going to tell you that you had them upside down. Personally, I like my 3.5" round slant tips - I think that's the perfect size for the 2Gs, but 3.75" doesn't look too bad.

It's weird that the 3A tips stick out so far from the bumper. The top of my tips are flush with the cutouts on my TL-S (no kit).

her are my tips. Im not a fan of the 3A tips. i think they are too big. I just wanted some to dress up the rear and not try to make my car look like a civic or something that its not. No offense to any of you guys though

this is the tip i bought and then i had the individual tips cut off and welded to my stock mufflers

I was just saying, I don't think it's too worth it to cut that dual tips and weld it to stock one, way too much work for nothing If you know what I mean. Guess you're bit too old to understand these things.

well it comes down to what a person wants. i needed some new tips because stockies were rusted and i wanted to maintain the certain level of class that the TL has instead of putting 3.5-3.75 tips on my car to give the appearance that my exhaust is aftermarket when afterall i just bought tips at autozone. Like i said before i have nothing against them its just not my taste. BTW i bought that dual tip and had it cut and re welded for 30 bux total and i believe thats about the same as 3A tips

To me man thats what modifying cars is about. not doing something because everyone else did or thats what just happens to be cool at the moment. ive made the mistake of buying things because others liked them and then i hated them. Thanks By the way.
