NOT WORTH IT! The TL unit has an internal amp, while the CL unit uses an external amp. It's not plug & play. You MIGHT be able to wire an amp to the head unit, but it'll be a pain.

no, there is an extra port on the back of the TL headunit that isnt on the back of the CL. you MUST get a headunit from a TL. and yes, the 6 disc in-dash headunit from a TL will fit and work in 99-00 TL's...i have one in my NAVI '00. if you have an mp3 player, just buy the blitzsafe adaptor and hook it up to your HU...dont waste your money on the 6 disc...i have the adaptor as well and i never used CD's anymore since my 40 gig has all of my music. i dont think i've burned a CD in over a year! if i had to do it all over again, i would just get the blitzsafe.

yup.. i have a blizsafe and all i do is connect my MP3 player. all the music in the order i want it without having to use switching cd's, looking for them in the glove/center compartment.. etc. its awesome! all for 70 bucks!

The CL also has tweeters while the TL has a subwoofer which I believe makes a difference in the wiring for the CL headunit versus the TL headunit. They're similar ... but its not going to be plug and play. Stick with a TL head unit if possible.
