Lightbulb Wood trim removal!

MY 00-TL(Ag color) came with wood trims all around. I think it's a little bit much. I want to remove some specially the ones over the stereo, cd holder, climate control areas,
the the driver's side dual cup holder.
Has anyone done it? Will it mess up the surface with adhesive residue? Any tips is
appreciated in advance.

If you are lucky enough to be able to remove all the bits, you will have to cover up the entire surface with another kit, like the carbon fiber one or the brushed aluminum one. It will be a lot of work and take a bit of effort/ Why did you buy the car?

Blow dryer to heat up the surfaces.
Lots of patience so you can heat, remove a bit and repeat...lots o times!
Then lots of adhesive remover to get rid of residue and gunk. Chances are they used cheap permanent adhesive that will be a real bear to remove. i'd see if i could live with it beofre attempting this, as you may end up having to cover it up again if it doesn't work

Having removed this wood trim my advice to you would be to do this after the car sits out on a COLD night. The adhesive loses alot of it's grip in cold weather and will be easier to remove. To get rid of extra adhesive that remains on the panels use 3M wax/adhesive remover sparingly untill it is gone.

A- It's plastic, not wood.

B- You might try Isopropyl alcohol to remove the residue of sticky stuff afterwards. This will be safe if you spill it and will evaporate away quiclky.
