Wood trim

I was at the dealer, and saw a complete wood trim package on a TL-s and I really liked it, but the dealer charges $800.

I saw the complete wood kit here for $219, I'd like to know if anyone has it and if it really looks like the dealer package... does it match the wood in the car exactly?

How hard is it to install?

Thanks

Do a search for 'bowling ball madness'. It is a post of Mr. Hyde's, he has it on his car and it looks nice! I am also going to get it when I can.

Dealer always charge unreasonable amount of money on those thing. I still remember when I bought my I30t. Dealer want $699 for the wood kit. After much haggling, I had it throw in it for free.

From looking at the wood kit (23 pieces for nav), it looks like it does not come with the gauge trim, but it does come with the vent trim. Is that right?

Steering Wheel adds $$$$

I think the dealers charges so much because of the wood steering wheel which I think is like $400 - and they install it for you. I installed a kit I got off the Internet and it matchs exactly. I didn't install all of it because I thought the parts around the gauges looks stupid. I only put it around the areas where the woods comes from the factory. It looks great and I only screwed up one part (which just didn't fit right- it was a little to long). I think the key is heating it before you put it on.:p

I bought mine from Tim from this site and everyone who has seen it loved it. I have the black wood trim and it matches perfectly. The key is to heat it up like someone else had mentioned. One of the reason why I bought from Tim is because I did not want the guage piece, looks tacky.
