wipers - intermittent works/fails intermittently on the fastest setting
wipers - intermittent works/fails intermittently on the fastest setting?
Anyone else have this problem - when you are set on Intermittent, and turn the "delay dial" all the way to the top/shortest delay setting = constant wipe, instead of wiping constantly (like the next setting), it has a mind of it's own and delays 3-10 seconds in between. Sorry for the run-on sentence.
Then when I turn the wipers completely off and try again, it only works correctly 1 out of 4 times.
Just noticed this today, as it hasn't rained recently when I was on the road.
I no it's broken, just wanted to know if any others had this problem/fixed how. Didn't notice any posts on this.
Here's to another TL-S.N.A.F.U.

@ssholes like marko are the reason why I rarely frequent this board anymore. I actually haven't posted this year, except to inquire about this one small issue. Maybe next year there won't be any chumps like you marko. Way to make a useless post marco, you waste of bandwidth.
Marko - hope your tranny goes dead while you're making a u-turn in front of the Toronto Maple Leafs team bus and T-bones your sorry self. It's playoff time...Go Flyers
Anyone else care/dare to comment.
Just looking for a little help on a wiper problem that is easily neglected, except on rainy days.

What you could be running into is that the intermitent wipers are speed sensitive. This means that as you drive they will wipe more the faster you go, and delay more the slower you go. This is because from a standstill rain doesn't build up on the windshield as fast as when you are driving, so acura has designed the wipers to compensate for this. Its a great feature actually.

Thanks for the more in depth info, but I think I have a slightly different problem:
The Constant wipe position/setting at the top of the Intermittent dial had always wiped constantly, irrespective of speed - because it is in the topmost setting=constantly wiping, until recently, so I think I have a stalk problem, and was just wondering if others had noted any thing similar?
Turn one tiny click notch down, and the intermittent kicks in and is speed sensi - i knew that.
Besides, I don't have a book to read as it was jacked in a smash and grab car theft where the 'markos' took all my glove box stuff...
I thought this forum was for informative posts and discussions about TLs issues - what kind of answer is "go read the book" - alota good that does.
If you know something just write the answer and help a brother out. What if I asked where to get an aftermarket alarm? Would you reply "check the book, the yellow pages phone book!"?
Snook/Tim isn't going to sell many aftermarket parts if you keep driving away those who read this forum, and then what will you do with all your free time and no forum or posters to rag on.
I don't care anymore if you can't answer my question, just stop being a chump.

Hmmm, I wonder if you are talking about the delay feature where on the shortest delay setting, the wipers are constantly on when you drive over 5mph, otherwise they are on a short (two-second) delay.
If this isn't the reason, then you might have a stalk problem.
