The flat black paint on my wiper arms is beginning to fade off and it looks kind of cruddy. I'd like to take them off and repaint them.
Has anybody removed the arms before? Any precautions on disassembly/assembly I need to be aware of, or is it actually as easy as it looks (twisting a wrench)?

I think this might be covered under warranty.......it shouldn't have faded in only 2 years. Call the dealership before you go repainting it.......cause if it comes out crappy and then try to get them to cover it under warranty you'll be SOL.
2400 Watts in a TL...Why?
Mine was slipping just the other day... I had the wipers on because of the rain but I forgot to turn them off...... long story short, the rain froze to ice and when I went to warm the car up the wipers (which were still in the on position) attempted to move and slipped.
My mechanic told me just to grab a wrench and tighten them up... no big deal..
Note:
- I'm not sure if this is the way to remove the wipers entirely, but it probably would be the best place to start.
- Plus I have he '99 TL not the newer one.. I know the washer sprayer is different, not sure is the actual wipers are..

i took mine off my accord and painted them white. its real simple. just do it when your car is dirty. this way when you put them back on, you will know where to position them
