Should i take this ww kit for $535 off of ebay?

 

If you want it and you can afford about $900(min anyplace)-1200 getting it painted and mounted GO FOR IT!!

i got mine from ebay 499shipped from a Roc-Z if i remember correctly, also got the oem spoiler from ebay and spent another 1000 preppin' priming painting and mounting and it was BY FAR the best spent money i've put in the car.

yungin, if its painted then thats a steal. but think about it this way. the OEM kit is discontinued. Wings West is out of business. so there will only be a few complete pieces around. get what you can now before you cant find anything except the $2000 value kit which has a nasty rear bumper.

 

Yeah, i was gonna warn you about them WW being outa business...i'll check the ebay auction and let you know if its ok.

Oh, 1000 for painting was not a rip...i got it done in 1st Class (ferrari and maseratti shop, so we got the BEST job possible) and apparently you know nothing about painting raw polyutherane. When the kit arrived it was this huge floppy black rubber.

*btw i got my kit painted off ebay for $995...beat that! this is my friend's car which i took care off.

the kit has to get baked, prepped, primed and painted (with a special thing so when the rubber bends the paint wont break) and THEN painted again with the real thing...some guy on this board got it done for $800 and that's the cheapest i've seen.

 

i feel that, see this kit is brand new factory painted. but only the front is ssm, the sides and rear are two diff colors. is there anyway for me to do the primin n paintin. if so how long would that take and how much am i looking at?

O so if its already painted then JUMP ALL OVER IT...you dont gotta do the primin and cookin...its already done for you. all you gotta do is pretty much respray. Worst cast scenario you gotta remove paint and repaint ~ $400.

painting doesn't come cheap

you will looks around into more than 1000 in total for the whole project

trust me, u DONT wanna paint a body kit urself, unless maybe ur kris. get it pro done. I jus got mine in from ebay for 420, came painted white so i g2 repaint it red. lotts the paint shipped off.

*edit. Mohan. if kit is already painted then it should be like ~$400 to repaint depending on the condition of the paint underneeth. Its a lotta paint that's why its so expensive.
Young TL, unless you got a space, nicely separated from dust, the paint guns (pro guns ~ $250each with lines and the $200 air pump) the paint, EXPERIENCE and 2 days then its ok...otherwise get it proffesionally done

well i know that guy isnt a fraud, because i bought a kit off of him myself (for an 02-03 though) as well as a couple of other members on this board and it was a Genuine OEM acura body kit... and to me that looks like a genuine OEM kit as well, they dont look like stock side skirts because there is a curve and its a bit chunkier... and the front lip, looks like a lip.
well, good luck with your findings, i think some guy is sellign WW skirts in the Black market and maybe you can buy the rest.

 

yea ive seen that auction b4 plenty of times. Its an OEM kit for sure, although the seller is different.

BTW: i got quoted 480 to repaint my WW Kit. They dont do custom installs so im jus gonna do it myself. I figure 480 is good deal. now i jus need 110 bux.

i personally like the OEM kit better, i dont like how the WW side and front has that Vertical line coming up.. to each his own though.
if anything, just get the WW rear.

 

Well I got OEM from this guy for $520 from him and since he didn't have it in stock at the time and it took like 3 weeks for him to get it, he painted it for free for me And I figured that I would just get it repainted anyways, but I know a good paint job when I see one, and his was good. See if you can work out a deal with him painting it for you.

not the rear, not the sides...that auction seems to be for the STOCK lips your car comes with. I looked at my stock skirts yesterday and looked just like the ones on that auction.

if you dont wanna spend 1500 (kit and paint process) on a kit then get the OEM one for 900 less painted and mounted. But it wont look as cool. my .02
