Question windshield wipers

I know this is probably a boring topic but mine are horrible in the rain. i see better when i dont use them. the blades dont look bad just they dont clear off the rain. what is the best kind to get for clear vision in the rain?

bosche icon, hands down. theyre $40 for both, but its well worth it and you wont replace them for at least a year and a half.

Thanks for the Bosch icon recommendations. I'll have to check those out.

Here's a wiper related question. What's the deal with the passenger side wiper arm? On my 99 TL it can not be completely pulled away from the windshield without hitting the metal trim hood fairing ahead of it.

Are there any tricks to cleaning the front windshield short of holding the arm off the surface?

Bob

you just have to turn the wipers on and stop the engine mid-stroke and then lift and clean it. that's really the only way.

Pinstripes925 - i have found over time that it helps alot to clean the wiper surface every once in a while. caked dirt will cause water to smear over your windshield as you use the wipers. i recently started using a rain-x knockoff but i'm not too happy with it's performance. when i use my wipers it turns hazy. perhaps i should just use the real thing.

I've bought the previous Bosch models and haven't been pleased with them. I'm going to have to try the Icons out. I used to use the Rain-X blades and they were great but now I use the OEM Honda ones...can't beat $7 a piece and they do the job real well.

Clean your wiperblade with laquer thinner. The rubber really gets clean after that.

the rainx one wear out way too quick, icon is the way to go

about the assembly for the icon, you have to buy the whole thing. the main ploy behind them is that they are completely self-contained without the eye-soring metal pieces sticking out. not to mention the sweet spoiler, hehe

Yeah, I use Rain-X as well, works like an invisible windshield wiper, the water droplets just slide off the windshield.
