Windshield wipers
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, I bought the Bosch Icon wipers (kinda pricey- 22 apiece for my expedition) And they are the best wipers ive ever used. Its snowing here and i had to drive for about 2 hours in it and not once did they freeze up or any thing. They are awsome. Just thought id share.

YES! 10 points to Bosche Icon. I got them about 2 weeks ago with my new windshield and I must say, there is nothing better out there, plus there was an offer when you buy the two of them, they send you a $15 autozone gift card, win-win in my eyes...

I've had the PIAA Super Silicone Wipers but never put them on my car. Right now I finally find the Borsch Icon ones which are on sale at the local store here so I am thinking to get rid of my PIAAs and buy Borsch because I love the look of Icon so much. SHould I do that? Which one is better?

Man this is an old post. But I just got some Bosh Icons this weekend. It hasn't rained yet so I havent put them to use. Its crazy that i bought them. I just went in there and picked some that looked cool in the package. Plus I like the way they go on the wiper arm. Cant wait for the rain.... I think .......

I always go to walmart and get the kind for 3 bucks that the little computer tells me to buy which is the 19 and 24. Although I have never bought any personally for my TL since I have only had it since april I have bought wipers for other cars and when mine do go bad I will just go there because there cheap.

I find that taking the wipers off and flipping them around can extend their life. I got the cheep ANCO ones and the seemed to start making noise at 6 months. I noticed they were kind'a permanently bent in their resting position so I flipped the around. They're still work great now - and that was several months ago.

Why don't you guys try RainX !!! It's a liquide that you treat on your shield and
doesnn't matter what kind of wiper you are using water or snow will not stick to
the winshield !!!!
I did try it last winter and love it ....

There is a blade that includes the whole "arm" where you replace the whole thing instead of just the rubber insert...how do I take the original arm off to replace? thanks

Ive never seen it replace the whole arm. They are usually the complete wiper or justa blade refill. If your just talking about the complete wiper when they are lifted up there is a littel tab on the bottom side. Push that in and slide the whole blade down out of the "U" shaped wiper arm.

Okay, there are basically two ways to replace the wipers.
1) Rubber Refill inserts
2) replace the whole thing (looks like a bow)...basically a refill insert with a metal arm (looks like a "D" where the straight edge on the "D" is where the rubber is).
I'm talking about option #2. How to do you take the stock ones out to replace it?

Just searched because I was going to make this post. I had the original "wal-mart Bosch replacements" in for 6 months, and they sucked from the get go. They were loud, poorly cleared the rain, and actually smeared my washer fluid onto the windshield which had to be wiped off by hand!
Well with these Icon wipers are amazing... and that's all I needed to say
