Window tinting
Window tinting
Does anyone know what is the darkest I could tint my windows and still be within legal standards? Or does this vary by state? If so, does anyone know Illinois's? ALso, I have heard that the front windows cannot be tinted at all, is that true?
according to www.iwfa.com , IL law says...
- front windshield visor must not be lower than 6" from the top
- no tint on front door windows
- any shade on the rear door windows of car or suv/mpv
- any shade on rear windshield of on car or suv/mpv
also
- tint must not be reflective
- must have both side mirrors
- no certification sticker required for tint

Oh i see. THank you very much for the information. However, I have noticed that a lot of people on this site have gotten tints all around. Has anyone had any problems with the police with it? If not, I may still go ahead and get partial front tints.
