Window Tint
Window Tint
Summers a killer for leather with untinted windows so I was thinkn about gettn some. Now I know that permanent tinted windows are the best way to go, but has anyone used film. I have heared of instances of it bubbling up or not staying on the glass but has anyone been successful with the film? If so, where'd you purchase it and how much? I'm 17 and although I have a great "near"-minimum wage job at GameStop I don't have the money to purchase this and some other things I want for my 99, and for some reason I always think of parents when I want to purchase something that I cant afford...
Any ideas?

All you have to worry about is having a good place do the work. Tint will last for a very long time if taken care of the right way. When you go to clean it, only use a cleaner that dosent have ammonia in it. It also helps to wipe in only one direction when you clean the rear window, because of the way they cut it for the rear defroster. Just dont "go against the grain".....
Tint stays on forever if done right by a professional shop.
I had a 1995 Nissan 240SX tinted with 5% tints all around, sold the car about a year ago with tint in brand new like state, no bubbling, no fading and no peeling.

I have in my tl 20 in the back and 35 all the other windows its pretty dark 5% would be like everytime you enter your car its midnight and if during the day time the windows look black imagine at night.
I just got my car tinted, professional shop, $250.00 all 5 windows. Including the small ones in the rear passenger doors, 20% all around. I don't like to tint the rear darker then the 2 front. I know law says your not supposed to tint the fronts too dark, but it looks kinda nasty when you have 2 shades of tint. IMO
