I just spoke with a rep at wheel max and im thinking about ordering Racing Hart C5 evos in 17's. They come in a 40 offset with 215/45/17 tires. He told me they wont rub. Is he BSin me?

 

He's BSing you. My friend had Racing hart M5 evo 18inch with a 42 offset...he rubbed. You need atleast a 45 offset or higher to ensure no rubbing...stock is like 48. Do a search for the Racing Hart...a few people here has C5 evo too. Good choice in wheels, I recommend getting 18inchs with 225/45/18 instead. I've heard some people mention that you can't get any Racinghart Evos in less than 19inch because the offset won't work...do a search. Post pics once you get the C5s. My friend is planning to get 3piece C5 19inchs...tight! Also with the 3piece, you can get a higher offset easier. I heard some bad stories about Wheel Max too...do a search on Acura-TL.com and Acura-CL.com, some people have complained that they sent the wrong wheels and refuse to make good on it also.

[EDIT] Just spoke with my friend...correction...it's a ATLEAST 48 offset you need. The 17inch doesn't come in a 48 offset.

 

Man...i did a search on wheelmax and im worried about ordering from them...if they do send me the wrong stuff...or screw me over and the guy lied to me.....anything i can do besides B*tch at them?

 

Wheelmax will tell you anything. Once i was asking them about wheel offset and he was like buddy you can put Breyton wheels on if you'd like. Breytons are freakin 38 offset and below, they just wanted me to buy wheels. Use them as a price guid and go to your local wheel guy who will surely beat or match the price without the ordering hassle.
