will warranty cover this?
ok... i got my car from the dealer with the body kit and eibach pro kit drop. one of the first times i parked, went in to far and when i backed up i nearly tore off the black plastic cover under the engine. will my dealer fix this for free? if not, how much do u think it will be to fix? the dealer i got it from is esserman acura in miami, florida.
also, when i go in for my 7500 mile oil change, can i ask them to use mobil 1 synthetic or do i have to take it myself?

I doubt it. Even if the car was stock height and the same thing happened no dealer would replace it. I'm sure you just broke some clips and the dealer would have no trouble giving you a few of even fixing it for free, but I don;t think they will replace the entire black cover for nothing. Keep us updated.

Owner stupidity....Most probably Not.
Just tell them you ran over metal debris on the Freeway.
(Believable...considering all the construction on I-95)
They might be more accomodating.

If they carry it, you'll most probably get charged $12.00 a bottle.
Better to buy it yourself and bring it in. That's what I'll be doing.
PS - Any feedback yet from anyone that has used a K&N OIL filter ?

if worst comes to worst i'll just remove it all together.
Whe I ran over a road barricde that blew into the middle of the road (don't ask), it ripped the cover off the bottom of my previous car. My cost to replce was $110.00 (and I had friends working at the dealership).
I though of just driving without too, but was told that was the worst mistake I could make.
The plastic shield protects pebbles and stones from flying high speed into your engine compartment. It also prevents splashed water from hitting your engine block.
My three cents (two plus inflation)
