Post Will Shock sensors protect against light theft???

I was just on the phone with a well know alarm installer in NJ and explained how I wanted to protect my HID lights. He mentioned shock sensors won't protect against light theft. He would install a clifford alarm for me but if the lights can be removed without "excessive" impact to the car, shock sensors won't set the alarm off. Does this sound right?

I thought the opposite actually. From what I've been reading, there is some impact to the car. Either the bumper being knocked off or down, to the hood being pulled back. If you set it sensative enough, it will go off. My fiance's alarm was so sensative that if a leaf hit it hard enough (from the wind), it would go off. Needless to say we adjusted it, but I'm sure if someone touch the headlight, it would go off if the alarm was set that sensative....
