i duon't know if this is off topic but it does involve the TL..

a friend is selling one from his wrecked TL. i was wondering if i could use his ballasts to put it in my brothers 03 accord. will it work? an easy job or will there be issues? like i know i'll have to get bulbs... and whatnot.. will i have to get wires too?

would it work easier if it's from a 2001 or 2002 tl? ( i know the ballasts are different) he has a 2001, but i checked recently at the junkyard and they have one also, but from a 2002. which should i get? (the 2002 is a bit more expensive though)

Im sure you can do it. My friend put the hid system from a Mercedes in his RX-3.

Like you said, you'll need new bulbs. But if you want less headache work buy d2r rebased 9006(accord) hid capsules(theres some on ebay) which is just plug n play . Otherwise you'll need to get a whole new hid set-up as the Stock TL bulb connector(d2s-r type) has a built in ignitor.

No, You will need the TL ignitor AND ballast because the tl hid system has its own kind of harness plug that aftermarket ignitor will not work with the tl ballast( I tried it). So, if you want to put the TL hid system to the accord you will need "D2R REBASED 9006"
