Will Eagle F1 Tire & Wheel Cleaner Harm or Remove Paint on Brake Calipers???
I bought some Eagle F1 Tire & Wheel cleaner mainly because i want to use it to clean my brake calipers. I used that shit on my friends Jetta GLI Stock red brake calipers and it removed all that nasty built up brake dust/dirt that u cant remove with regular soap and mit. When i used it on his STOCK PAINTED calipers it did not harm the paint that comes on the calipers from the factory. Now as far as i kno, on the back of the spray bottle, it says not to use it on an other type of finished surfaces other then factory finishes. My question obviously stated is...
WILL EAGLE F1 REMOVE THE PAINT that i painted my Calipers with????

The engine paint is supposed to be ceramic based so I would think it should be just a bit tougher then others. They do make a clear coat and a primer now for the engine paint line but the main engine paint instructions don't really mention it as being a needed step so not sure.

Regular spray paint might be a little more sensitive than the brake caliper paints. I used that cleaner on my Wheels and i have no problems. but then again the paint i used was specifically for brake calipers and they were like a resin type based paint. almost like an acrylic type paint. so yeah i would test it first before you spray it complete.
